VOCABULARY POPULATION

Birth rate: is the total  number of births per year.

Death rate: is the total number of deaths per year.

Natural increase: it's the number of births minus the number of deaths.

Infant mortality rate: is the nuember of children that dieds uner the age of one per year.


Life expectancy: it's the average of years that one person may expect to live.

Birth control: it's a method or device used to prevent pregnancy.

Dependent population: it's a part of the population that doesn't work a relies on other for the goods and services they consume.

Dependency ratio: is an age population ratio of those typically not in labor force.

Family planning:
it's the controlling os the number of children one family want to have.

Population piramids/age-gender structures: diagrams that depict the distribution of the population at particular time and location.

Replacement rate: the number of deaths is equal to the number of births.

Fertility rate: is the number of children that would be born from a woman over a lifetime.

Ageing population: the older population.

Population distribution: where the people live.

Population density: number of people that live in a specific place in time.

A more economically developed country (MEDC): the countries that are rich.

A less economically developed country (LEDC): the countries tat aren't rich.

Overpopulation: so much people live in the same place.

Under population: not enough people live in a place,
